OLED (organic LED): the next big step into the future of automotive lighting. LEDs have become standard for all car manufacturers, and the use of OLED technology to the first production vehicles has already begun.
OLED offers completely new possibilities in lamp and luminaire design. As panel radiators, they are suitable for use as signal light, taillight, or even in the car interior lighting.
The result: homogeneous light surfaces in all shapes and many colors that's durable and energy efficient. Thanks to extensive research, OSRAM overcame a significant challenge for OLED when engineers managed to increase the temperature resistance significantly to ensure a smooth long-term usage.
